Fixed missing contacts issue on Pixel and Samsung phones

If you have a Google Pixel phone or a Samsung smartphone, you may have missed contacts in recent days. All kinds of contacts seemed to have disappeared from the smartphones. Fortunately, the problem has now been solved by Google.

Google has rolled out a bug fix for users affected by the issues. The bug was acknowledged by Google as a bug within Google Contacts that prevented contact data from appearing for some Android and web users. It was a data access problem, but Google states that no data was lost.

Do you also suffer from it, or maybe even still? That is possible, but something can be done about it. You can sync your contacts for a moment to make it better. To do this, go to the Settings app, Google and then Google apps Settings. You will then see Synchronize Google Contacts, then go to Status and tap the arrow to allow the synchronization to take place.

Very nice that it has been solved, because for some it is a bit of a shock when it suddenly says that there are no contacts in your account. You will then think that you accidentally deleted everything yourself. Fortunately, many people can find and add most contacts via WhatsApp if that really happened, but the solution that is now available is better: a fix. Especially if, for example, you have many customers on your phone with whom you regularly call (and probably do not text) then you desperately need that data.

In the end, it is not clear whether the problem was related to the new function within Play services that turning off synchronization with Google Contact now also removes previously synchronized contacts from your Android phone. In any case, it’s now resolved, so you should be able to find everyone in your phone and your Google account as usual. By the way, the problem would not be with a specific version of Android, but with all of them. And not only on Pixels, for example: Samsung and other devices also struggled with the problem.
