iPhone really is better than Android (and here’s why)

Over the past five years, the number of people switching from Android to iPhone in the US has been at an all-time high, and for good reason. Read here why the iPhone is really better than Android according to switchers!

Read on after the ad.

iPhone better than Android

Research agency CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners) has already seen an increase in the number of people switching from Android to iPhone over the past ten years. For a long time, about ten percent of all new iPhone buyers came from Android, but in recent quarters that has risen to about fifteen percent.

CIRP also investigated the reason for switching. They found that there are four main reasons, one of which stands out quite a bit. We list them for you.

1. A bad Android experience

The main reason for switching to iPhone appears to be a bad experience with Android. No less than 53 percent of all switchers did this because they encountered problems on their Android. Those problems range from connection issues, short battery life, no longer receiving security updates and other defects.

2. Attractive iPhone features

About 26 percent of switchers were prompted to do so because they saw iPhone features they also wanted. This mainly concerns a better camera, use of AirPods and Apple Watch, a larger range of apps and more accessories.

3. Lower costs

You wouldn’t expect it, but 15 percent of all switchers did this because it saved them money. Due to all kinds of offers, they spent less money on an iPhone than on a comparable Android smartphone.

4. Social reasons

You can imagine how nice it is to be able to use Facetime, iMessage and AirDrop if your entire social circle uses an iPhone. Yet for only six percent of the switchers this was a direct reason to switch camps.

CIRP research

CIRP’s research was conducted in America, so it is possible that other reasons would emerge here. But it is nevertheless remarkable that the number of switchers is increasing. That the main reason for that is a bad Android experience says a lot, of course.

Apple has already made switching from Android to iPhone as easy as possible with the Move to iOS app. It helps you step by step with transferring all your data to your new iPhone.
