This is how you can cancel your subscription

Want to cancel your Disney Plus subscription? We’ll show you the different ways you can end your subscription.

Disney Plus last increased its prices on February 23, 2021. Since then, the subscription has cost two euros more per month. For the annual subscription, the prices rose again by 20 euros per year.

For many users this is too much. Others are no longer satisfied with what the streaming portal has to offer. If you’re one of them and want to cancel your Disney Plus subscription, we’ll help you through the process.

Cancel Disney Plus: Deadlines and Minimum Term

Disney Plus offers its customers the option of canceling their subscription on a monthly basis. This means that you can cancel your contract at the end of the next billing period. With an annual subscription, however, you must note that this is only the case after a period of twelve months.

Therefore, you should keep an eye on your contract period so that your subscription does not automatically renew. You can find the relevant date in your billing information in your Disney Plus profile.

Cancel Disney Plus: How to end your subscription

In general, it is recommended to end a Disney Plus subscription at least 24 hours before the next billing. To do that you have different options. It’s important to note whether you purchased your subscription directly from Disney Plus or through a third party.

How do I cancel Disney Plus?

To cancel your Disney Plus subscription, you have several options:

Cancel Disney Plus before signing up

1. First you go to the site from Disney Plus.
2. Now scroll all the way down to select the “Cancel subscription here” option.
3. Here you enter your e-mail address and your 16-digit subscription ID.
4. Then click on “Cancel now”.

Cancel Disney Plus after signing up

1. First you go to the site from Disney Plus and log in.
2. There you click on your profile picture.
3. Then select “Account” from the drop-down menu.
4. Under the item “Subscription” you now click on your Disney Plus subscription.
5. There you will find your billing information and the “Cancel subscription” tab.
6. You will then be asked for your reason for termination. However, you do not necessarily have to answer this question.
7. Now click on “Continue to cancellation”.
8. By clicking on “Complete termination” you end the process.

Third-Party Termination

If you took out your Disney Plus subscription with a third-party provider, you must cancel it there as well. In most cases, you have to select Disney Plus under “Subscriptions” at the relevant provider and end it there by clicking on the respective button.

• Deutsche Telekom: Cancel your subscription under the plan options in your account.
• Google: Cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store under “My Subscriptions”.
• Apple: Cancel your subscription via “Settings” – “Apple ID” – “Subscriptions”. There you select the appropriate subscription.
• Roku: Cancel your subscription via the web browser in your Roku account via “Manage Your Subscriptions” – “Active Subscriptions”.
• Amazon: Cancel your subscription via your Amazon customer account in the “Your memberships and subscriptions” option.

If you cancel your Disney Plus subscription, it will still continue. This way you can reactivate it at any time. However, if you want to permanently delete your account, you must contact the customer service from Disney Plus.
