Leaked Pixel 7a spec list reveals key device details
May 12 is Google’s I/O presentation and a lot has already been leaked. The release of the Pixel 7a in particular seems like a pretty big certainty, especially given the latest spec sheet that has leaked. This is all it says.
Specifications
91Mobiles published the list, which shows that many rumors about the mid-range device are indeed correct. For example, we see that a Tensor G2 processor is mentioned and that there is 8GB of RAM. In addition, it becomes clear that the screen is 6.1 inches and has a refresh rate of 90 Hertz. This is the list in its entirety:
- Display: The Google Pixel 7a will feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: Under the hood, it will run the in-house Tensor G2 chipset, the same one that powers the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
- RAM and storage: The smartphone will pack 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of onboard storage along with UFS 3.1.
- Cameras: On the Pixel 7a, you can expect a 64MP rear camera with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it will house a 10.8MP front camera.
- Battery and charging: The smartphone will pack a 4,400mAh battery that is claimed to provide up to 72 hours of backup. It will also support 20W wired charging as well as wireless charging support.
- Software: On the software front, the Pixel 7a will run Android 13 out-of-the-box.
Pixel 7a
The device is the same size as the Pixel 6a in terms of screen, but the refresh rate is higher and equal to that of the Pixel 7. And, it gets -literally and figuratively- even better: Pixel 7a would get a better battery than Pixel 7 It’s only a little bit, but 4.4.00 mAh instead of 4,355 mAh is still an upgrade. The Pixel 7a’s battery is said to last 72 hours, but of course that all depends on how often you use it and what you do on your phone.
The larger battery can also charge a little faster: wired charging goes from 18 Watt to 20 Watt. In terms of cameras, the specification list indicates that it has a 64-megapixel camera with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Then there is a 10.8 megapixel selfie camera on the front.
