iPhone 15 Pro: the capacitive buttons on the edge would have a configurable sensitivity
The cause is almost understood: the iPhone 15 Pro will swap the physical buttons for capacitive zones. In use, the sensation should remain that of a physical button thanks to the use of a haptic engine. A new leak (a priori credible) now specifies that the sensitivity of these capacitive zones will be highly configurable.
Thus, the sensitivity can be increased if, for example, you have to use the iPhone with gloves, but it will also be possible to reduce it if you are afraid of inadvertently triggering functions simply by putting the iPhone 15 Pro in the pocket. These details suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro will be equipped with a pressure sensor which will allow the sensitivity to be varied depending on (simple contact with the capacitive zone or more or less strong pressure).
Logically, the sensitivity adjustment should be in the Settings of the iPhone, but it is not impossible that a voice command via Siri allows you to switch from one level of sensitivity to another. The next range of iPhone 15 Pro should be available for sale during the month of September.
