OnePlus advances in the development of its first tablet

OnePlus already offers several products, including smartphones, televisions and headphones, and next on the list will be a tablet. Development is progressing well in Asia.

According to MySmartPrice, the tablet (which would be called OnePlus Pad, at least for now) is being tested in India under the code name Aries. It’s unclear at what stage of testing OnePlus is in with this device, but it would be far enough along to suggest a public presentation more or less soon. The announcement may come this summer with the launch of the OnePlus 11R smartphone.

What can we expect? Will the tablet come to compete with the Apple iPad? Or the iPad Pro with ever more power? Those who hope to have a lot of power may be disappointed since this first tablet from OnePlus would rather be oriented towards an entry or mid-range model. That wouldn’t be surprising, given that Oppo has followed the same path with its tablets so far (OnePlus and Oppo have the same parent company, BBK Electronics).

So we still have a few months to wait for this first OnePlus tablet. No information has yet leaked regarding its design or technical characteristics.
