How does Pathé Home work?
With Pathé Thuis you can watch films that have just left the cinema, without a subscription. And the streaming service expands the collection with the latest titles every week. You can choose to rent or buy a movie. You can watch a rented movie temporarily and you can watch a purchased movie as often as you want.
Pathé Thuis is available on various platforms such as: smart TVs, game consoles, smartphones, tablets, PCs and laptops. When you purchase a film at Pathé Thuis, it is available on all platforms.
All films have Dutch subtitles or are spoken in Dutch. In exceptional cases it may happen that a film is not subtitled. However, this is mentioned on the page of the respective movie.

Pathé Thuis works in the Netherlands and other EU member states, but not outside. You must be in the Netherlands to create an account.

You can rent a film from €1.99 to €5.99. You buy a movie if you want to watch it several times. After purchasing, you can watch the film as often as you like within Pathé Thuis. You pay a higher price for buying a movie, since this movie can be watched unlimitedly. The price of a purchase film depends on the title.
Pathé offers films in both SD and HD quality and in most cases HD is €1 more expensive. There are sometimes also Premium films that can deviate from the regular (rental) prices. These are films that can be seen on Pathé Thuis very soon after the cinema release. After 4 months they get the regular price.

How long can you watch a movie via Pathé Thuis?
A rented film is in your account for 30 days after purchase, after starting the film it can still be viewed for 48 hours. You can watch a purchased film indefinitely, there is no time limit. The movie is yours forever!
At Pathé Thuis you can watch one movie at a time on one account. Do you see this message appear: “Someone else is checking your account or the viewing period has ended”? Then the following is possible:
- You have started another movie on your account
- You started the movie on your account on another device
- Your viewing period has ended
How do you pay for a movie via Pathé Thuis?
You can pay at Pathé Thuis in several ways:
- Too good: You pay a credit via iDEAL, after which you can watch several films with one payment.
- Automatic collection: Link your account via direct debit and you can rent and buy films immediately.
- PayPal: Pay for a movie with one click
- iDeal or Credit card: You can only pay for a single film via credit card or iDeal via laptop or desktop.
