100 GB data volume from Telekom free of charge
Deutsche Telekom is handing out a really big data gift to its customers in December. Most customers get a whopping 100 GB high-speed data volume for free. We’ll tell you all the details.

Telekom is giving away 100 GB of high-speed data volume

Whoever is at Telekom can be happy. From December 1st to December 7th, 2022 you can 100 GB high-speed data volume for free additionally secure (source: telecom). You can roast this in Germany until the end of the month after calling it up. The motto of the data gift is “How are you”. You should be able to use the data volume, for example, to contact family and friends at Christmas or New Year’s Eve and ask how things are going in the still difficult times. But you can also simply use the data volume to consume videos, films and series or to gamble.
This is how you get the free data volume from Telekom:
- You go to the MeinMagenta app on your smartphone between December 1st and December 7th, 2022 and activate it there.
After that, you have 100 GB of additional high-speed data volume that you use up first before you go to your normal data volume. To be on the safe side, you will receive an SMS confirming the activation. We don’t yet know whether this can also be used by other mobile operators, as was the case last year. Usually you can also use the additional data volume pass.telekom.de activate.

Who can take part in the Telekom campaign?
Basically everyone who signed a mobile phone contract after 2011. In addition prepaid users are also allowed. Below is the detailed list of customer contracts in which you can use the data gift:
- MagentaMobile
- MagentaMobil Young
- family card
- Data comfort
- MagentaMobil prepaid
- Customers with CombiCard
The promotion only runs in December, so be sure to grab the high-speed data plan to have the whole month to use it up. The rest will expire.
By the way: If you are not a Telekom customer, you can still secure free data volume: With the test card at o2 or a prepaid campaign in the Vodafone network.
