Update for Nothing Phone 1

Nothing has rolled out a new update for the Nothing Phone 1. We previously discussed this smartphone in detail in the Nothing Phone 1 review. The most striking thing about the phone is the luminous back. The new update brings even more improvements to the so-called Glyph Interface.

It’s the Nothing OS 1.1.6 update. The Glyph Interface should give smoother lighting effects and the charging sound is also synchronized with it. The animation for the Flip to Glyph animation has also been improved. Furthermore, Nothing has added the support for Google AR Core, the video quality has been improved with sharper images. A red record light on the back can be found in the Glyph Interface. There is also a more accurate battery status, the launcher has been optimized and several bugs have been fixed. Nothing also promises that the NFC sound has been updated.

The update will be rolled out from now on. Android 13 will only be rolled out for the phone at the beginning of next year, the manufacturer has previously announced.
