Fallout 4: the PS5/Xbox Series X update arrives in 2023 and will be free
Bethesda Softworks announcement that his game Fallout 4 will be entitled to a next-gen update for players with a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X so that the general experience is better visually speaking. It will be available for free from 2023.
The update will include a performance mode to play Fallout 4 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with a higher refresh rate than today. Players will also be allowed to play in 4K. Bethesda also mentions bonus Creation Club content, without giving more information.
Bethesda released a similar update last year for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition and Anniversary Editionoptimizing this game with improved graphics, faster loading times and other changes for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The studio previously released an update to Fallout 4 for the Xbox One X which allowed to play in 4K and have a refresh rate of 30 frames per second.
Fallout 4 was originally released in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. So that’s a free upgrade for players with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X will see the light of day in 2023, but there is no specific date yet.
