New M2 Macs are coming in a few weeks
While the iPad Pro with the M2 chip (and normally the new entry-level iPad with the USB-C port) will make its debut in a few days, we will have to be a little more patient before discovering the new Macs with the M2 chips.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the new MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will not arrive alongside the new iPad Pro this month, but rather in November. The new laptops would therefore arrive after the release of macOS Ventura, which should be available in final version at the end of October. For its part, iPadOS 16.1 would arrive at the same time and the iPad Pro would be available more or less at the same time.
There is also talk of a Mac mini with the M2 chip in the works at Apple. Can we expect it in November or will we have to wait longer? It’s a bit fuzzy at this point. On the other hand, a new Apple TV with the A14 chip (the same one found in the iPhone 12) and 4 GB of RAM is in preparation. In comparison, the current model has the A12 chip (the same found in the iPhone XS and XR). Again, the launch date is a bit fuzzy.
