‘My partner pays almost everything, except something for the cats’

Charlotte had to get used to the fact that her partner wants to pay for everything. He thinks it should be, but there are a few exceptions.

Charlotte: “We are very old-fashioned. Onno pays everything. Just some insurance and presents. Furthermore, we both deposit a significant amount into our son’s savings account.

Everything for his account

I had to get used to this a lot, but Onno thinks it should be, since I do everything in the house and take care of most of the care for our child.

According to him, I should see it as a salary for my work at home. But then again I’m the one who does all the haggling and negotiating when we make a big purchase, because Onno is way too nice. And I pay everything for the cats because he didn’t want pets at all and I got him there anyway. Not a hair on my head that would make him pay for something I pushed through.”
