Galaxy S20 series gets new update, January patch for Note 8
Samsung is rolling out a new update for a number of devices. A new update is being distributed for the Galaxy S20 series, but a new patch is also ready for the Galaxy Note 8.
Note 8 is getting January update
The Galaxy Note 8 is now in the list of devices for which a new security update appears once a quarter, so no longer monthly. The last update for the smartphone appeared in October. Now Hans reports that a new update is ready for the smartphone that was released in September 2017. Samsung has started rolling out security update January 2021 in the Netherlands, among others. This update has a size of 586.99MB.
Galaxy S20 series
A new update is also being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. Earlier this month, the series already received security update January 2021. It is a bit unclear exactly what improvements this update brings. Fijke and Theo report the update to us. The changelog shows that there has been improved performance for the camera, and the security of the device has also been improved. The update has a size of approximately 448.94MB. You can now expect the update on the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra.
