PS5 game release dates have disappeared from the official Vortex trailer

One week ago, we informed you about an inconspicuous video from Sony that the Japanese company presented at CES 2021. It was a short message from Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan, who summarized last year and the success of the PlayStation 5 and wished everyone a pleasant time digital form of a traditional fair. However, the full conclusion of the video hid information about the release dates of a number of titles, not only directly from PlayStation Studios, but also from other collaborating studios.

However, information about Pragmata, Solar Ash, Kena, Stray, Ghostwire Tokyo, Little Devil Inside, Project Athia and Hitman III disappeared from the final screen of the re-recorded video, which, of course, stirred up the debate on possible delays. The editors of Gematsu magazine were the first to notice the changes, who also shared a comparative screenshot on Twitter, but it is not yet known why the change took place. Leaving aside Hitman, which comes out on Wednesday, none of these games have a specific release date, although some are due to arrive relatively soon (Ken), while others have seen another shift (Pragmata), despite previous expectations. The common denominator thus remains only the fact that it is the third party of the game, and this may be the reason why the mentions of them finally disappeared from the final screen.

Apart from Sony, the individual publishers of the games in question did not mention the release dates or the hints, and it is therefore likely that they do not wish to be the subject of public debate. It is possible that the time schedules of some titles may have changed during the preparation of the video, resp. after the delivery of the information to Sony, which records the insiders’ thoughts on the postponement of further titles due to the coronavirus pandemic and the associated effects. We remind you that since the beginning of the year, games like Hogwarts Legacy, Outriders, Stronghold: Warlords or Riders Republic have been postponed, and we are also inclined to expand the list gradually. In this case, however, we would remain slightly optimistic and not necessarily paint the devil on the wall yet – it still seems to be more of a communication error, which, hopefully, Sony or the publishers will bring to the fore in the future.
