AH leftovers now in all stores
Albert Heijn has now rolled out its Overstayers, with which you help to prevent food waste, throughout the Netherlands. This means that you can buy leftover products cheaply through all stores in the Netherlands.
AH Remainers
Supermarket chain Albert Heijn has recently tested with the AH Overblijvers. It is a concept that can be compared to Too Good To Go. This test by Albert Heijn was done in a limited number of stores, but from now on you can encounter the Overstayers at every store in the Netherlands. With this you help to prevent food waste, by buying products that are out of the range or have an approaching best before date at an affordable price. In addition, you also save on your groceries.
Where it used to be a separate Overblijvers app, the functionality is now simply integrated into the app of Albert Heijn itself, previously Appie. You will find the Remnants tile on the home screen, where you can directly select your store. You can then see which branches in the area a Overstayer has. You can then pick this up, with your own bag, at the selected pick-up time at the service desk.
There are several choices in Remnants. It concerns the following AH Remainers;
- Surprise (now €4.95 but worth at least €14.95)
- Vegetarian (now €4.95 but worth at least €14.95)
- Bakery (now €2.95 but worth at least €8.95)
