‘Camera app on iPhone gets new look’ (but not for everyone)
Apple is rumored to be giving the camera app on the iPhone a new look. Unfortunately, not everyone gets the new look. iPhoned let us know what’s going on.
Read on after the ad.
iPhone camera app gets new look
If you take a lot of photos with your iPhone, things will probably change soon. Apple is planning to give the camera app a new look.
The new look of the camera app on the iPhone coincides with the release of the iPhone 14, and for good reason. Due to the disappearance of the notch (the black notch at the top of the screen), some models of the iPhone 14 create more space. That’s probably why Apple decided to give the camera app a new look and fill this space.
The flash button has been moved to the status bar at the top in the new version of the camera app. The button for setting Live Photos also shifts slightly and goes up a bit.
Buttons in the camera app get new place
The buttons for the camera settings can now also be found at the top of the screen. This creates more space for the preview of your photo on the screen. In the image above you can see what this adjustment may look like.
Probably the new look of the iPhone camera app is only for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. So if you buy an iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Max (or do you have an older iPhone), everything will probably remain the same, because these devices still retain the old notch.
iPhone 14 Pro (Max) gets two holes
According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have two holes in the screen, but different than you think. When the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) is on, these holes form one pill-shaped bar. The pixels between the holes are therefore switched off by software. The space is rumored to be used to display, for example, the camera and microphone indicators.
