With a surprise in the case: Strange Nokia cell phone presented
HMD Global is back with new feature phones from the Nokia brand. The three phones Nokia 8210 4G, 5710 XpressAudio and 2660 Flip are aimed at different groups of buyers – and one of the smartphones has a surprise inside.
HMD Global unveiled three new Nokia phones
If you want to do without smartphones and prefer a classic cell phone instead, Nokia is still a good choice. Now the brand from HMD Global presented three new mobile phones, which are sometimes quite different. The Nokia 8210 4G should be of particular interest to nostalgics, while the 2660 Flip has a folding mechanism. With the 5710 XpressAudio there is even room for earbuds in the housing.
At the Nokia 8210 4G is after 23 years the successor to the then lightest and smallest Nokia mobile phone, the 8210. As then, physical buttons are available, plus a display with a diagonal of 2.8 inches. The replaceable battery has a capacity of 1,450 mAh. According to the manufacturer, this is enough for “weeks of” stand-by times. The cell phone will be available from August for EUR 79.99.
This is what the Nokia 8210 4G looks like:
At the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio the back is particularly noticeable. The supplied true wireless headphones can actually be stowed in the cell phone’s housing and charged at the same time (source: Nokia). A sliding mechanism protects the headphones when they are not in use. The display and battery are identical to the Nokia 8210 4G. The mobile phone is available for EUR 89.99.
Recently, Nokia also presented an Android tablet:
New clamshell phone Nokia 2660 Flip
That Nokia 2660 Flip comes without physical buttons, but can be opened. As a special feature, HMD Global has thought of a second display (1.77 inches) on the outside of the clamshell cell phone, on which incoming messages are informed. A 0.3 MP camera for selfies is also included. The manufacturer wants 99.99 euros for the Nokia 2660 Flip.
