Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro pop up in renders
We get a first look at the new smartwatches from Samsung. They are the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, both expected in the coming weeks. Now we see renders of the smartwatches. What do the new watches look like?
Galaxy Watch 5 renders
Samsung will soon release the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The two smartwatches have already appeared several times in the rumor circuit, but today we also get a picture of all messages. Earlier it was announced that the rotating ring would disappear with the new model. That rumor is confirmed with these images. The images were realized by Evan Blass, a source who more often releases information at an early stage.
Galaxy Watch 5
The design of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 also resembles the Galaxy Watch 4 and should be available in the colors black, white and light blue. Rumor has it that both a WiFi and a 4G version are planned. On the right side of the screen are two buttons for some functions of the smartwatch.
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
Then there’s the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, a smartwatch that is said to be sturdier and has a more premium design. We see that reflected in these renders. The watch band is different and the screen would have sapphire glass with a titanium case. The housing is much thicker, and that is probably due to the much larger battery; which comes out at 572 mAh. Where the normal Watch 5 will probably be available in two sizes, the Pro will be available in one size in the colors gray and black.
Samsung is said to be shipping the new Galaxy Watch 5 series directly with One UI Watch 4.5, which is based on Wear OS 3.5, which is the latest version of the wearable operating system. We have already seen One UI Watch 4.5 screenshots appear, giving us a good idea of what exactly to expect in the interface. The new smartwatches are expected in early August, along with the new Galaxy Flip 4 and Fold 4.
