Sail through Giethoorn
If you say sailing, you say Giethoorn. Here you float between the most beautiful nature, explore the picturesque village and the surroundings from the water and in between you moor at a nice eatery. In all corners of Giethoorn you will find companies where you can rent different types of boats: from a canoe, whisper boat and sloop to a traditional punt or pedal boat.
Canal tour in Den Bosch
You can of course choose to sail through the canals of Amsterdam, but something else is also fun. Take Den Bosch, for example. Here too it is possible to discover the historic city center (and everything around it) with different boats. You can book here.
Maasvlakte cruise
Want to relax yourself, but in the meantime want to learn everything about the port of Rotterdam? It is possible if you step aboard the FutureLand Ferry. During the cruise you can see the container terminals and new terminals and it’s so nice: all information can be heard in Dutch.

Sailing in Friesland
It is an art in itself, but if you have mastered sailing, then Friesland with its Frisian waters (the Frisian Lakes or the Sneekermeer, for example) is the ideal place. If you and your children still need a lesson, courses are offered.
Canoeing through Amelisweerd
Amelisweerd is a special nature reserve in the municipality of Bunnik, east of Utrecht. Rent a canoe or rowing boat and take a trip through nature. Along the way you moor at the Rhijnauwen tea house for a cup of coffee with cake or a pancake. A round trip on the Utrecht canals is also one of the options: highly recommended.
SUP
SUP stands for Stand Up Paddling and is being practiced more and more. Have you never been on such a board before? Don’t worry, it’s very easy to learn. In these places in the Netherlands, for example.
Building rafts in Amsterdam
If you prefer action, building rafts is also fun. This is possible, for example, at Watersportcentrum Sloterplas. You learn some sturdy sailor knots and then you can design and assemble your own raft. When everything is ready, you will of course immediately test it on the Sloterplas.
Clog sailing in Hattem
Of course it couldn’t be more Dutch: on the water in a yellow clog. You can go in with a maximum of 6 people and if you want to rest for a while, take a seat in the nose. Fun for the children: they can make a clog puzzle along the way. Do you still have energy after sailing? In the green area there is also a nice clog path where you can walk.
If you prefer to go wild indoors on the slide, then a visit to the Aqualibi water park is always a good idea. Now with a discount.
