4 coolest gadgets
Not everyone is already familiar with the principle of crowdfunding, and that is normal. It’s still a relatively new concept, but one that can help creative people make a difference. You first support a great idea for a product, and then you can follow the progress until the package arrives at your door. These are the four coolest gadgets on crowdfunding websites.

1. GPD WIN Max 2 – Handheld Gaming PC with Keyboard
For who is it?
For those who want a gaming solution with a keyboard that is more mobile than a laptop
What is it?
Handheld gaming PCs are on the rise, and you can see that in devices like the Steam Deck, this handheld from Logitech, and the GPD XP Plus we wrote about earlier. The GPD Win Max 2 looks like a small Windows 11 laptop, but it’s specially equipped for playing games. It comes with a D-pad, two joysticks and a series of buttons, including triggers.
Other interesting points: the backlit keyboard, support for Wi-Fi 6, a vibration motor, a 10.1 inch screen with a resolution of 25600 x 1600 pixels, a 1 or 2 TB SSD, 16 or 32 GB RAM and four speakers. The GPD WIN Max 2 works with Windows 11 and according to tests it can easily play the latest games. For example, the device achieves 60 to 65 fps with the demanding game Elden Ring if you use medium graphics. Finally, there is an HDMI port, a USB-a and two USB-c ports.
- GPD WIN Max 2- IndieGoGo – 1304 euros inc. shipping – expected in September 2022
2. Angry Miao CYBERBLADE – low latency wireless earphones with cyberpunk design
For who is it?
If you want to live in the VR world of the movie Ready Player One. Oh, and for those who want low latency earphones
What is it?
The Angry Miao CYBERBLADE can be used in a sci-fi movie with its name as well as its appearance. The CYBERBLADE has a striking triangular design and there is a colored LED strip that you use to apply lighting effects of your choice. The charging case is shaped like a hockey puck and you can turn to adjust the volume of the earphones. If you already found the transparent design of the Nothing Ear (1) exciting, you should take a look at these ears.
Yet there is something more behind this product than a striking appearance and LEDs. The earphones are partly aimed at gamers with their low latency, or delay in the connection. In addition, they have an extensive equalizer function. For example, you can use settings that are specially made for watching movies or playing games. The ears are available in three different colours.
- Angry Miao CYBERBLADE – Kickstarter – 279.22 euros incl. shipping – expected in October 2022

3. DOCA – wireless mouse with touchscreen
For who is it?
For those who want to be more productive on the PC
What is it?
The DOCA is a wireless computer mouse with a touchscreen. The mouse is, among other things, made for those who edit videos or do graphic design, because there are shortcuts for the best-known programs that you can activate with the screen of the mouse. The left and right mouse buttons are also pressure sensitive, which can be useful if you want to draw in Photoshop, for example.
- DOCA – Kickstarter – 81.02 euros incl. shipping – expected in December 2022
4. Lawna – smarter robotic lawnmower
For who is it?
For those who want to leave the lawn mowing to a robot without worries
What is it?
The Lawna is like the upgraded version of today’s robotic lawnmowers. It can recharge itself when it runs out of battery, then pick up where it left off. He is also organized thanks to his camera and AI algorithms.
If the neighbor’s annoying kids kick a soccer ball at the mower, he can detect it and try to avoid it. The Lawna is water resistant, but when it detects rain it will stop mowing. In the app you can also set the height of the blades and you can also divide your garden into zones, so that you can have it mowed exactly where you want it. If someone steals the Lawna, he will tell his GPS location in the app. While mowing, he can also keep an eye on things and save video images.
- Lawn- Kickstarter – 698.30 euros euros incl. shipping – expected in January 2023
Think of this with crowdfunding
Keep in mind that with crowdfunding you always support an idea in the first place, with no real guarantee that the actual product will meet your expectations. So choose the projects and start-ups that you really believe in and follow the regular updates on development and shipping that the start-ups communicate. Supporting projects through crowdfunding is therefore not the same as shopping.
What do you think of the above products? Have you ever ordered products through crowdfunding? Did that lead to positive experiences or were there also disappointments? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
