Now that we know almost for sure what the appearance of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will be and what specifications the new iPhones have, we also dare to ignore a few things.

iPhone 14 rumor #1: ‘iPhone 14 Pro gets USB-c connection’

We often got rumors about a USB-C port in the iPhone 14 Pro, Apple’s flagship from 2022. This would be good for durability and you can even charge the iPhone faster. Unfortunately, this iPhone 14 rumor is only for the iPhone 15.

It is certain that the iPhone will one day switch to USB-C. The European Union has passed a law stating that all devices on this continent must use a USB-C port. In addition, Apple’s famous Lightning port was actually already ‘out of date’.

iPhone 14 Pro rumor #2: ‘Titanium frame for Pro models’

According to some rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro would get a titanium housing. The housing of the iPhone is still made of stainless steel. The great advantage of titanium as a chassis is that it is both stronger and lighter. In addition, it ensures less scratches.

Although the rumors do say that Apple has tried this material, in reality it turns out to be too expensive. And you wouldn’t want that, would you? An even more expensive iPhone? Therefore, despite the benefits of titanium, Apple continues to use a stainless steel frame for the iPhone 14 Pro.

iPhone 14 Pro rumor #3: ‘Face ID under the screen’

Display analyst Ross Young suggested in September 2021 that the iPhone 14 Pro would become the first Apple smartphone with Face ID below the screen. The rumors that the notch (the notch at the front camera) would disappear caused a lot of confusion about the location of Face ID.

Twitter leaker dylandkt claimed that the iPhone 14 Pro would have a small pill-shaped camera cutout. This part appears to be correct. Face ID would then be moved below the screen. According to new rumors, this ‘expected iPhone 14 feature’ will not come in an iPhone until around 2026.

What do we expect from the iPhone 14

Of course, there are many more things we already know about the iPhone 14 series. For example, in addition to the regular iPhone 14, there will not be a mini version, but an iPhone with a larger display. We now also know the name of this phone: the iPhone 14 Plus. However, the design and functions are very similar to those of the iPhone 13.

With the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) you see a lot of differences with the predecessors. The most important functions can be seen on the front. The notch is going to disappear. Instead, you get more screen and a camera hole. In addition, the main camera on the back has received the most attention. This now has 48 megapixels and can therefore take even sharper photos.
