1994 wants to be a tribute to Resident Evil -apkrig
If you like survival horror movies, you probably remember Daymare: 1998 from Invader Studios from 2019. It was a tribute to the Resident Evil series, which was, after all, even born of an unofficial remake of the second part from fans. Now Invader Studios has announced that their own brand will grow and entice us to prequel the original game called Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle.
The novelty is aimed at PCs and consoles and will be released next year. Again, this is a 3rd person survival horror. Its protagonist is Special Agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy who now works for the HADES unit. Together with her, we will enter a secret experimental research center that will hide secrets that Umbrella Corporation would not be ashamed of.
Aggressive opponents can be rid of individual limbs. They are said to be stronger and can rise from the dead even more dangerous than when we defeated them for the first time.
We will stand here against scary monsters, but fortunately we will have a number of innovative weapons at hand. The authors promise a varied mix of action, puzzles, exploration and a chilling soundtrack. But we will also come across some of the favorite characters of the game Daymare: 1998 and we will learn more about them and previous events, as you would certainly expect from the prequel.
The authors also promise innovations in the field of control, inventory and management of weapons and equipment. We will explore the environment around us again thanks to a special scanner that reveals puzzles, secret documents and hidden objects. Aggressive opponents can be rid of individual limbs. They are said to be stronger and can rise from the dead even more dangerous than when we defeated them for the first time. Fortunately, we have a diverse host of weapons at our disposal.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and again relies on the nostalgia and nineties aesthetics and atmosphere of the horrors of the time. Not only those video games, but also movies. At least technically, the authors seem to have made interesting progress again. We will see how the novelty will tread in practice. The original game collected decent marks on Steam, after all, it was sold at a lower price. The Metacritic reviews were a little less flattering. Depending on the platform, the average score ranged from 53 to 68 percent.
As already mentioned, in addition to the PC, the game also targets consoles, specifically the PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. It will arrive on the market next year.
