Zenpet Feeder, to feed your pet when you are not at home
No one to babysit Fikkie or Minoes, but you still want to be away from home for a day or two? A Brazilian startup has come up with the solution, the Zenpet Feeder.
The idea behind the Zenpet Feeder
The idea is as simple as it is effective. Automatic feeders have been around for a long time, but only you, as the owner of your pet, know exactly when your dog or cat wants to eat. So when you are away from home, you naturally want to see if and when your pet is eating and if everything is okay with your little fur coat.
For pet owners who are sometimes away from home, and there are of course quite a lot of them, you want a pet feeder that you can operate via your smartphone. The good news is, there is.
Also a drinking fountain with remote control
The Zenpet Feeder is complete with a smartphone app that allows you to operate the device. Even if you are on the other side of the world, as long as there is an internet connection.
In addition to the Zenpet Feeder, there is also a drinking fountain that you can fill with water on command. With this you can be sure that your pet always has fresh water. This is of course especially important for cats, which often drink poorly.
It is not known whether the startup has already developed a plan to develop an automatic litter box or a dog walking robot. Because that is of course quite a thing if you are away from home for more than a day.
Where can you buy these products?
Unfortunately, the manufacturer is only active in Brazil and the product seems to be still in the start-up phase. I have not been able to find a sales address in or outside Brazil. Less advanced alternatives can be found on bol.com, both for the automatic feeder and for the drinking trough. These cost between €50 and €100.
More information about the products can be found on the manufacturer’s website. Unfortunately only in Portuguese. If you speak a nice word of Latin, French or Spanish, the site is reasonably easy to understand.
