Xpeng presents aircraft X2
The fifth edition should bring the breakthrough. The company sees itself on the right path with its quadcopter for two.
Xpeng is better known for its G3 and P7 or P7 Wing electric cars. Few people know that the subsidiary Xpeng Huitian develops individual copters. The department now presented the new X2, which is coming out in the fifth generation. The model stands alongside the X1 Voyager, the prototype of which premiered at the last Shanghai Motor Show. The Xpeng CEO and Founder He Xiaopeng announced the X2 on the Chinese social media platform Weibo with a 90-second video. He said it was another step towards a “widespread and safe-flying car.” Other media outlets in the country took it Story on and researched specifications.
X2: 35 minutes of flights at a maximum of 130 kilometers per hour
The aircraft weighs 360 kilograms and can accommodate two passengers. However, they shouldn’t be too heavy, because the takeoff weight shouldn’t exceed 530 kilograms. It has a sensor-controlled trajectory planning, so it can automatically monitor the ground. In addition, it uses a communication device that can transmit over 100 kilometers in real time. Four rotors keep the passenger transport drone in the air. Meanwhile, there are no flight shots with passengers.
Parachute and redundant systems for safety
The copter is said to have a 24-hour monitoring system to record problems. In addition, eight independent battery groups are available to secure the power supply in the event of a cell failure. Xpeng also supplies a sling parachute. Now the scene is waiting for official test flights, while Xpeng is reportedly working on series production. The manufacturer is said to be offering test flights soon for the X1 Voyager, which is said to have completed more than 10,000 test flights. The aircraft will be on the market by the end of the year, the company says. His boss also announced that he would be bringing a new transport vehicle onto the market this year. He Xiaopeng did not reveal whether it can fly.
