Xiaomi solves problems with proximity sensors in new smartphones

Fans of the Chinese giant Xiaomi have often complained recently. The reason was problems with the latest released smartphones. According to GizmoChina.com and its users, the proximity sensor is an error.

How does Xiaomi plan to solve this problem?

The proximity sensor, or Slovak zoom sensor, is used, for example, to automatically turn off the screen during calls when the phone is held to your ear. This sensor thus prevents unwanted ear interactions with the display. Customers have also debated that a manufacturing hardware error is to blame. However, the reason is likely to be the supplier of this Elliptic Labs component, with which the company has ceased to cooperate.

The Chinese giant has signed a contract with a new supplier Minhhao Sensing, but it is not yet known when the sensors from the new company will get into smartphones in production. The Chinese company has announced that it is also working on other bugs in the latest devices and will release worldwide updates to improve them and calibrate faulty proximity sensors.

Of course, the possibility of a hardware error still remains open, as it occurs on a large number of mobile devices. If you’re interested in how a well-known brand will continue to resolve errors, be sure to keep an eye on our site.
