The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi flexes its muscles before presenting a new high-end smartphone. After the first specifications were unveiled yesterday, the boss is now adding an impressive number. But can you really believe this result?

Xiaomi Black Shark 4 is the fastest Android smartphone

Xiaomi will shortly introduce the Black Shark 4, a new high-end smartphone with a focus on gaming. Just yesterday, the company revealed that the cell phone has a 4,500 mAh battery that can be fully charged with 120 watts in a few minutes. This feature alone is impressive and hardly any other cell phone can do it. But now the boss at Weibo is stepping up. There he published a benchmark result of the Black Shark 4. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 and reached at AnTuTu just over 788,000 points. The best smartphones to date come to around 770,000 points.

So far, it is only a benchmark of a prototype of the Black Shark 4, so the performance in the final model could be even higher. With a few changes to the available performance, the phone could still get over 800,000 points and thus present itself properly. Whether this service is really available in all apps and games remains to be seen. Chinese manufacturers often optimize their cell phones specifically for the benchmark and unlock reserves there that are not made available in other apps. Because of this, there have been repeated exclusions from the top 10 lists of benchmark developers in recent years. So in the end this is just marketing. How fast the mobile phone really works will then have to be determined in normal use.

Xiaomi has also set new standards for affordable models:
