‘Xiaomi MIUI 13 can expand RAM virtually, that’s how it works’

Xiaomi will launch its MIUI 13 shell in August according to rumors. The software will be able to virtually expand the working memory of phones, and the shell will be compatible with all phones released in the past two years? We discuss what has already been leaked.

Xiaomi MIUI 13

Xiaomi comes with the new version of its well-known MIUI software shell. MIUI 13 will be unveiled in August, according to Chinese rumor propagator Digital Chat Station. One of the most striking features is the possibility to virtually expand the working memory of phones by up to 3 GB. We have already seen that technology with OPPO devices and the ColorOS 11.

With the virtual RAM of MIUI 13, the phone uses a part of the storage as working memory, although that will only work with a select number of phones. These are smartphones that use the Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 888. And let that also be the devices that usually already have a generous amount of RAM on board.
