Xiaomi Mi 9T (Pro) receives Android 11 update and MIUI 12.5
The Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Pro version now receive the update to Android 11 and the MIUI 12.5 shell. That is what a reader of Androidworld says in a tip to our editors. The two-year-old phones now work with Android chat bubbles and the new privacy features, among other things.
Xiaomi Mi 9T
The owners of the Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Mi 9T Pro can count on the Android 11 update for their devices. It will be rolled out this week via an Over The Air (OTA) update from your phone’s notifications. The smartphone works with the security patch of May 2021. It is AW reader Marc who informed our editors of the update.
Android 11 brings a lot of improvements to the Xiaomi Mi 9T series. There’s a new notification system for messaging apps called “Bubbles.” Furthermore, there is a new menu to control your smart home devices and user privacy is also improved. You can now give apps permission to access, for example, the camera or microphone of your phone. You can find all the improvements here, and these are the smaller novelties that you don’t want to miss.
One of the best of 2019
The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is an upper mid-range Android phone known for its good value for money. The phone came with the powerful Snapdragon 855, Qualcomm’s top chipset two years ago.
