Xiaomi ended up on the US blacklist. What threatens society?

In the last week of the function, the Trump administration managed to target another Chinese electronic giant. And that is Xiaomi, the third largest phone manufacturer in the world. The US Department of Defense describes Xiaomi as “China’s communist military society.” The company is currently blacklisted in the United States, meaning Donald Trump can still impose sanctions on Xiaomi. Specifically, it would be about ban US companies from investing in Xiaomi and at the same time have to get rid of the shares of the Chinese company.

There are more companies on the US blacklist, but Xiaomi stands out

Several companies have recently appeared on the US blacklist. Most of them are focused on industries such as aviation, shipbuilding, chemicals, construction and telecommunications. The Chinese company Huawei is on the same blacklist, but the reason is mobile networks, which Xiaomi does not do at all. We must also point out that Xiaomi does not face the same sanctions as ZTE, Huawei or recently DJI. This means that Xiaomi can continue to do business with US companies as well as US technologies such as Qualcomm chipsets or Google services. At the moment, there is no restriction and the owners of Xiaomi equipment do not have to worry about anything. Of course, everything can change every day. On the other hand, there is the fact that Donald Trump has six days in office, followed by Joe Biden, who can completely reverse these regulations.

Xiaomi spoke in favor of The Verge server. A company spokesman said that Xiaomi operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of jurisdictionsin which he does business. He added that Xiaomi was not owned, controlled or affiliated with the Chinese military and was not a Chinese Communist military company. He added that Xiaomi was currently examining the potential consequences of ending up on the US blacklist.
