Xiaomi accounts for more than a third of the 5G smartphone market in Central and Eastern Europe
Third-quarter sales figures for Central and Eastern Europe were recently released by an analytics company Strategy Analytics. Xiaomi in its statistics, it leads by a large margin and has up to 41.8% market share. That’s up to 16% more than the company has Apple in second place. In third place is South Korean Samsung, which was in the first place a year ago and now recorded a percentage drop from 34.3% to 11.5%.
Young Chinese brands also did well Realme a OnePlus. The former ranks fourth with a share of 7.2%. Although OnePlus recorded a year-on-year decline from 4.3% to 2.5%, which is still enough for a nice fifth place. The remaining unnamed brands shared the remaining 11% market share,
Xiaomi should continue to dominate
It should be noted that the statistics do not reflect the sales of all smartphones, but only models with support for 5G networks. The situation on the entire smartphone market may look different. In recent months, Xiaomi has managed to capitalize on Huawei’s withdrawal from the market due to US sanctions and to offer 5G models in lower price categories.

Analysts predict very good numbers and first place in the coming period. The main reason is that it can offer a good ratio of hardware and price, which is often lower by more than 100 euros than in the case of competing models of Samsung. Apple, in turn, should continue to dominate the premium 5G smartphone market.
