[WWDC 2023] 15.3-inch MacBook Air: M2 processor, HP Spatial Audio, 18-hour battery life, and “low” price…

It was expected: 15.3-inch MacBook Air is out with an even slimmer design, the slimmest in fact of any 15-inch model in this product class at just 11.5mm thick. The device does not exceed 1.6 kg on the scale but this lightness does not mean here that the specs sheet is at a discount: the screen (of the same definition as that of the 13-inch model has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and the front-facing Full HD camera will ensure quality FaceTime sessions.

The 15.3-inch MacBook Air also has 6 speakers capable of delivering Spatial Audio sound. In the bowels, an M2 processor for overall performance 2 times better than that of the previous model. and of course the structure of the device is fanless, which means that this passive cooling system does not generate any noise during the use of the bike. Finally, and not to spoil anything, the autonomy increases to 18 hours! in terms of software, the 15.3-inch MacBook Air easily provides the Continuity function with an iPhone (a task started on the iPhone can continue at the same point on the Mac).

The MacBook Air is available today for pre-order (in 4 colors including additional colors, Midnight and Starlight) from 1299 dollars. Deliveries will begin next week. The 13-inch model suddenly goes to 1099 dollars and the M1 model to 999 dollars. A very good price surprise!
