LG: Corona protective mask goes on sale

In November 2020, LG presented the prototype of a very special protective mask. Unlike conventional mouth and nose covers, the group has one whole range of special technologies ready for it. One of the highlights here is the ventilation, which is provided by a motor. Two H13 HEPA filters are included. According to LG, breathing should improve noticeably.

A small battery, which has a capacity of 1,000 mAh and is recharged via USB, provides the necessary power. The prototype was still talking about 820 mAh. The airflow is guaranteed here for up to eight hours, promises LG. The charging process takes two hours and a suitable charging cable is included.

A microphone and a loudspeaker with “VoiceON” technology are also integrated in the “LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier”. The internal microphone picks up the voice and transmits it amplified through the loudspeaker to the outside. Possible difficulties in communication should not arise in the first place. LG’s version doesn’t seem quite as futuristic as the Razer mask.
