Why you should wait with the update to Android 12

Google has completed the first beta version of Android 12 and many smartphone manufacturers are offering test users the opportunity to try out the new version of the operating system. But there are currently major problems – also with the Xiaomi Mi 11.

Android 12 breaks Xiaomi Mi 11

Just yesterday we reported that Android 12 in the version provided by OnePlus can destroy OnePlus 9 phones. It has now been announced that not only the OnePlus 9 has problems with the new version, but also the Xiaomi Mi 11. There are the same difficulties there. The phone either always restarts and cannot be reset or becomes completely unusable if the beta version of Android 12 is installed. All over More and more users who wanted to try Android 12 on their phones and now have problems are getting in touch. After all, a total of eleven manufacturers are directly involved. But the beta versions have probably not been tested extensively enough.

It is currently unclear what affected users can do who have installed the beta versions with Android 12 that were quickly made available by the manufacturers and destroyed their mobile phones in this way. What is clear, however, is that the test versions have been withdrawn and you will not be able to enjoy Android 12 for the time being. Installation is currently only recommended on Google phones. The beta version works pretty well there – even if you shouldn’t use it in everyday life. So if you want to try Android 12, you should do it on a second device.

Android 12 beta: continue to be careful

Now, of course, this is not a good sign that the first beta of Xiaomi and OnePlus will end in disaster. If a new version is made available, one should be very careful and not just blindly install it. If you don’t have a Pixel phone, you should first wait and see how the current situation develops. Otherwise you risk your smartphone unnecessarily.
