Who offers the best connections or tariffs? The CTU has launched its own service comparator

Did you also miss a large comparator on the Czech Internet, which would be able to clearly pit the offer of Czech operators and other providers of electronic communication services against each other? So yes, for many years. That moment now finally came and came almost unannounced. The implementation was taken care of by the most professional institution – the Czech Telecommunication Office. From March 1, 2021 The CTU launched its own price and quality of services comparator electronic communications.

At the address Porovavac.ctu.cz, the consumer can compare prices and parameters of mobile calling, SMS and data services and mobile internet. From April, calling services at a fixed location, Internet at a fixed location and pay TV will be compared. In the test pilot operation, the comparator will run until May 2021. Clear information on parameters and prices of services to the comparator must be entered directly by providers these services. They also guarantee their accuracy. It is already possible to find not only large players in the offer, but also the names of private entrepreneurs and smaller or lesser-known companies.

Consumers can, on the basis of specified parameters (amount of consumption, required type of contractual obligation, etc.) individually select the most suitable available service. Service providers, in turn, can verify how competitive their offers are compared to other businesses. The aim of the comparison tool is therefore also a more dynamic development of the electronic communications market through pressure from informed consumers to the service provider. So we could look forward to lowering prices over time.

Pservice providers will be motivated to adjust their bids faster and thus also the development of a competitive environment, “said Hana Továrková, Chairwoman of the Board of the Czech Telecommunications Office. The CTU has created and operates a price and quality comparator for electronic communications services on the basis of an obligation imposed on it by law. The tool is free and non-commercial. Therefore, it is not necessary to enter any contact information to display the data.
