Google Pay: Pay with your phone and send cash
How to set up Google Pay
- Make sure you have Android 5 or higher on your phone.
- Download the Google Pay app (link above).
- Launch the Google Pay app and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
- When prompted, add a card.
- On Android devices, you may be prompted to set a screen lock. Google Pay supports a PIN, gesture, password, fingerprint, or iris scan. Does not support face recognition, Smart Unlock or Knock to Unlock.
- To shop in stores, make sure your device has NFC technology and is turned on. The phone must also be equipped with HCE technology.
- If you have another contactless app installed on your phone, open Settings and set Google Pay as your default payment app.
