‘WhatsApp with chat bubble support’

WhatsApp is making good progress with new functions that will be rolled out to the apps. Now the latest posts are about the chat bubbles. These are already used by several apps, but WhatsApp does not have them yet. Now we get a better picture.

Chat bubbles from WhatsApp

With the arrival of Android 11, the new ‘Chat Bubbles’ feature was announced. This allowed you to quickly call up an application by pressing a ‘bubble’ on the edge of the screen. In this way, chat apps, for example, make it possible to read and respond to messages faster. Several apps already support the feature; such as the messaging app from Google, Telegram and Facebook Messenger. The advantage of the chat bubble is that you don’t have to close the open app to get started with the chat message.

It is unclear whether WhatsApp is working on support for chat bubbles, although it would be an ideal feature. An enthusiastic developer has already started working for the developers of the messaging service. It may well be that the feature is finally coming, but we have not heard anything about it from WhatsApp itself. A preview of the feature can be found below.
