WhatsApp finally allows you to change the quality of shared videos

WhatsApp is still one of the most popular messaging apps, despite recent privacy issues. However, compared to the competing Telegram application, it lacks a few functions. One of them is the ability to choose the quality of shared videos, but that may change soon. The Gizmochin portal informed about the news.

The ability to change the quality of shared videos has been revealed in a new beta version of the application

WhatsApp allows users to send different types of media files. However, the application automatically compresses the shared videos, and you can only send them in their original quality if they are part of another document.

In the new beta version of the application, the WABetaInfo portal has unveiled a feature that allows users to choose the quality of the shared video. Specifically, it was a beta version of v2.21.14.6 for Android. The novelty offers three settings to choose from – select quality automatically (recommended), record video in the best quality and Data Saver mode, which compresses the video.

This feature is currently under development and it is not yet known when it will reach the stable version of the application. However, this is not the only news that WhatsApp is working on. It also includes support for multiple devices, the ability to turn on automatic message deletion for all platoons at once, and allows you to send images that disappear when viewed.
