WhatsApp communities live in latest beta version
WhatsApp is testing a new improvement in the latest beta update that we’ve heard about in the past. The WhatsApp Communities are available in this version. The functionality was already announced in April, now we get a better idea.
WhatsApp communities in beta
In the latest beta of WhatsApp, users will be able to access the Community functionality that was already announced in April by Mark Zuckerberg of the company. Communities make it possible to add multiple groups to this. For example, a community actually serves as a large group, with subgroups. According to Zuckerberg, it is an evolution of WhatsApp that is an important addition to the messaging service.
This functionality is now visible to a group of users in the latest beta. This function takes the place of the camera for the Status functionality in the navigation bar. You can create a community on this screen with up to 10 groups, each of which can have up to 512 users. Users can choose what they want to join based on interests. A subgroup can also be left without leaving the entire community. It is currently unknown when the communities will become widely available.
