With all the rumors about the Apple Car, a graphic designer has set to work. For example, CarPlay could work on the gigantic screen of a Tesla Model 3.

Designer John Calkins had a clear goal with his concept: what would CarPlay look like if Apple made the Tesla Model 3. That provides an impressive look into an alternative future, with a version of CarPlay that does more than is now possible.

Plus, it’s not a bad idea that Apple’s car could look like a Tesla on the inside. Because if there is a car brand that puts a lot of time and energy into the media experience and the touchscreen, it is the company of Elon Musk.

The concept clearly shows how the 15 inch touchscreen plays a leading role for CarPlay. Instead of a small screen in the car, Apple’s car software now has the space of a large MacBook. The concept shows how Apple can place a Dock on the left with your favorite CarPlay apps, so you can get to them quickly. Of course there is a lot of space for the map with your fastest route to the destination, but there is also room for a mini player for your audio and buttons for the air conditioning, lights and music.
