What colors will the iPhone 13 come in? These are our expectations

Do you want to stand out and go for pink, or do you prefer the business matte black? In this article we share our expectations for the colors of the iPhone 13.

Will the iPhone 13 get these colors?

In a few weeks, Apple will announce the successors to the iPhone 12. As is the case every year, the rumor mill is running overtime in the run-up to the revelations. Of course it is nice that the new iPhones will probably get considerably better cameras and hardware, but the eye also wants something.

After all, color is very important. In fact, you are the first to see the jacket of a device. Moreover, you still have to look at it very often, so the appearance of a phone cannot be underestimated. This is what we expect from the iPhone 13 colors.

Colorful Year for iPhone 13 (mini)

If you look at the history of the iPhone, Apple always repeats the same trick. The entry-level models are very colorful and come in all kinds of fresh colors, while the Pro versions look a lot more business-like.

For example, the iPhone 12 came in six colors: blue, green, purple, red, white and black. The iPhone 11 also had six variants and its predecessor, the iPhone XR from 2018, you could even get seven flavors.

So it’s safe to assume that the iPhone 13 will be very colorful. The big question is: which colors? Because all previous entry-level iPhones were available in black, white and red, these options are pretty much fixed.

Then we have three more colors to fill in. Because the purple iPhone 12 was announced with a lot of fanfare, this color may also make its appearance this time. Assuming that at least one new version is added, blue or green is therefore omitted.

The rumor circuit is still not even about which color will be added. Possible contenders include a Pink (pink) iPhone 13, as pictured above. We also hear reports that the new iPhone will come in Coral, an orange-like color that we know from the iPhone XR.

Colors of the iPhone 13 Pro (Max)

The iPhone 12 Pro (Max) is available in four colors: graphite, silver, gold and ocean blue. We’re pretty sure the middle two options will stay, as these options have been coming back every year since the 2018 iPhone XS (Max).

Whether this also applies to ocean blue and graphite remains to be seen. According to the usually reliable telecom insider Max Weinbach the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) is in any case available in matte black. This would be a modified version of space gray, one of Apple’s most iconic iPhone colors.

The last spot may well be taken by a completely new jacket: Sunset Gold. This bronze-like color is tipped by naver, an anonymous source who apparently has warm contacts within the telecom world.

This Naver also claims that the best iPhones of 2021 will be available in matte black, just like Weinbach. Furthermore, the anonymous source claims that the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) will come in rose gold, but this rumor is denied by other insiders.

In summary, these might just be the colors of the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro:

Soon all rumors will come to an end and we will know for sure which color options the iPhone 13 will get. It seems that Apple will present the new devices in September. Mark your calendars carefully on 14 September, because the annual keynote may then take place.
