“We will work even more closely with Oppo for better updates”

Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, says in a message that it will collaborate more with Oppo. The companies fall under the same parent company and collaborations have already been started in various areas. This is now being expanded further.

OnePlus and Oppo will continue to work together

Pete Lau is the CEO of OnePlus and has spoken further about the future of OnePlus. For now it is known that the Chinese manufacturer will work together with big brother Oppo. Not a bad idea in itself, since the two manufacturers both belong to the same parent company. Over the past eight years, Lau says the brand has grown from an exciting newcomer to a global force.

Since last year, Pete Lau has been carrying out various activities for sister company Oppo. He oversees the product strategy of both Oppo and OnePlus. Several activities have since been merged to better streamline operations and leverage each other’s resources. This went so well that it is now ready for the next step. The organization of OnePlus will be further integrated into Oppo, which should improve efficiency. Users will notice this in faster and more stable software updates for OnePlus devices. It is still unclear what this actually means, but we always welcome an improvement in the update policy at DroidApp.

Pete Lau also provides some more information about the OnePlus brand itself. The brand will continue to operate independently. In addition, the brand will continue to launch its own products, organize its own events and everything else will remain the same for the screens.
