ViaPlay will soon become even more expensive: prices are rising sharply

Soon it will be a lot more expensive to watch Formula 1 or darts with ViaPlay. ViaPlay raises the prices considerably.

ViaPlay more expensive: prices are rising

The streaming service ViaPlay already implemented a significant price increase in August of 2022, but there seems to be another one now. This is in response to a post on Stream pointer.

According to the website, ViaPlay prices are up 14 percent. That means that a monthly subscription will go from 13.99 euros to 15.99 euros. Even if you take an annual subscription, you cannot escape the price increase of ViaPlay. Instead of 10.49 euros per month, you have to pay 12.79 euros. This is an increase of no less than 22 percent.

Prices annual subscription ViaPlay are rising the most

The price of an annual subscription at ViaPlay therefore increases even more than a monthly subscription. The new prices of the annual subscription will go up as early as February 1, 2023. The price increase of the ViaPlay monthly subscription will follow a few weeks later, on February 28, 2023.

ViaPlay is becoming one of the most expensive streaming services

When ViaPlay starts asking 15.99 euros per month, this means that ViaPlay, together with Netflix, will become one of the most expensive streaming services in the Netherlands. Services such as HBO Max, VideoLand and Disney Plus are much cheaper.

There is a difference in the offer. While you can watch movies and series on all streaming services, ViaPlay also offers Formula 1, darts, the German Bundesliga and Premier League football.

Viaplay already works with providers such as VodafoneZiggo, KPN, T-Mobile and Youfone. If your household is already connected to one of these providers, you can stream Viaplay via your TV.
