Vanguard has been officially announced -apkrig
After yesterday’s leak from PlayStation Store, the developers at Sledghammer Games, along with people from Activision, have finally decided to officially confirm the existence of Call of Duty: Vanguard. In an ideal world from the point of view of the game’s authors, we would say that there was a revelation, but if you watch our news for some time, you know quite a lot about Vanguard based on leaks and information from credible insiders. However, it’s nice to have everything finally confirmed by a message from the developers, which is complemented by the first full-fledged and almost 2-minute teaser, which combines recent snippets and most likely features the main characters of the story campaign.
According to the video, which appeared on social networks and in full 4K resolution, of course on YouTube, it seems that during World War II, we will visit exactly four sites of conflict. The first to receive space in the video is the frozen environment of the Soviet Union, specifically the sniper’s nest. Polina, already introduced in Warzone, will most likely shoot from it, which we conclude not only from fired portraits on the wall, but especially from the surname Petrovová, which is burned into the stock of a rifle. Furthermore, the game moves south, but does not give much clues as to exactly where we are. Given that the New Zealand flag is in the picture, which will most likely refer to the soldier Lucas, inspired by the real New Zealander Charles Upham, we are either in Egypt, but more likely in Greece or Italy. We have no doubt that there are other details in the shots, which will be noticed by lovers of armaments and equipment from the Second World War, but at the moment we will be able to confirm previous assumptions and the expected list of main characters.
With another cut, the teaser is heading to France, near the town of Merville, where an attack on an artillery battery took place during the first day of the Allied invasion – incidentally equipped with howitzers vz. 14 from Škoda plants. At this point, we will most likely play as the character of Wade, inspired by British soldier Sidney Cornell. At the site of the alleged overflow of German transport is also the patch Task Force 141, which is a unit that included Captain Price, but its presence has not yet been confirmed by developers and we guess it will be a surprise until the very revelation in the game, as in the case of Modern Warfare. And finally, the last shot of the sinking Douglas SBD Dauntless (?) Suggests that we are in the Pacific, which corresponds to the possibility of playing the last of the mentioned Wade characters, who was to be inspired by Vernon L. Micheel, the hero of the Battle of Midway.
At the end of the video, only the voice of one of the characters says that whatever we do, we do together and then there is a confirmation that the performance of the play will take place on August 19 from 7.30 pm Czech time. We will follow the event in Warzone closely and we do not rule out a short stream and analysis of the first details.
