Kek Mama is the 360 degree glossy magazine brand for mothers. We focus on women with children from 0 to 12 years. With 1.6 million unique visitors, KekMama.nl is a platform for mothers with stories full of recognition, inspiration and humor where taboos are certainly not shunned. In addition, we make recognizable podcasts and videos for Kek Mama TV and we serve a large community on our social channels.
As an online editor you are involved in devising, searching and creating stories for KekMama.nl. Every day you are busy with interviewing, producing news articles or writing background stories. You know exactly how to serve these stories to the public, which headlines work best and which image appeals the most. You are a barrel full of ideas and can quickly and concisely write strong pieces for the website. You are also a think tank when it comes to the other (online) channels of Kek Mama. You work closely with the rest of the editorial team and fall under the online content coordinator.
Who are you:
-You have a talent for writing strong texts with matching headlines and you are allergic to language and spelling mistakes
-You have a nose for news and trends in the field of motherhood and you know how to quickly translate this into appropriate online content
-You have a strong sense of visual language and know how to surprise the reader time and again with a matching (interactive) image
-You have a lot of knowledge of innovations on both the internet and social media channels and you can convert this into opportunities
-You understand WordPress, SEO and analytics and use the right tools to get the best out of the content
– You have affinity with the target group
-You have completed a higher professional education or university education in journalism or other media education
-You have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as an editor at an online platform and/or magazine
-You have a sense of commerce and know how to translate sales collaborations
