Samsung distributes Android 13 for Galaxy S22 phones

After many months of development, Samsung has now started rolling out the Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra. All three models with an Exynos processor, i.e. the models that are also sold in Germany, can now install the new software. With Android 13 and One UI 5.0, many innovations from Google and Samsung will be implemented. The update is available now in the following countries: Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (source: SamMobile). Since only one version will be rolled out in Europe, Germany should follow very soon.

Android 13 and One UI 5.0 are thus leaving beta status and Samsung is catching up with Google and the Pixel phones, which have been able to use the new software for a long time. Simultaneously Samsung is one of the first companies to implement Android 13 as an update. The competition is not that fast. Android 13 introduces multitasking improvements. There are more customization options for the start and lock screens, many visual innovations, optimizations in the ecosystem with better cooperation between individual Samsung devices, new camera functions and improved security.
