update to Android 12 and One UI 4 is rolling out
Great news for the users of the Samsung Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The smartphone manufacturer has started rolling out the update to Android 12 worldwide, with the new One UI 4 skin. More devices will be available soon.
Galaxy S21 gets Android 12
The first non-Pixel smartphones will be updated with an update to Android 12. Samsung is releasing the update for the Samsung Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. In recent weeks, the Korean manufacturer started rolling out the beta versions, and now it’s time for the final version, which will now be rolled out worldwide to the users of the S21 series. Along with the update to Android 12, owners will also receive the new One UI 4 skin.
With the new update, Samsung gives you the option to personalize even more. Thanks to Android 12, there is support for many new color palettes to choose from. You can change the appearance of various parts; think of the home screen, icons, menu, wallpapers and use of new widgets. From the keyboard app, you can instantly access emoji features, GIFs, stickers, and more.
Privacy is also an important part in Android 12 with the One UI 4 skin. You can choose exactly what you want to share, and what you want to keep to yourself. When an application wants to have access to, for example, your camera or microphone, you will receive a notification. In addition, there is a new privacy dashboard where you can find everything in one place. For example, Samsung also gives you the option not to share your exact location with an app, but to give an estimate. Erasing privacy-sensitive information before sharing a photo is also an option. In this article you will find all the new features in Android 12.
