update to Android 11 available

Samsung gives the users of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE a nice Christmas present. The update to Android 11 will now be rolled out in the Netherlands. This update brings a lot of improvements along with One UI 3.0.

Galaxy S20 FE gets Android 11

Samsung previously published an overview with the Dutch data on which Android 11 would become available. Until now, little of that list seems to be correct, because Samsung has the update to Android 11 ready for two devices in the Netherlands. The Galaxy Z Flip already got it this week; and now it’s also the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Marianne says.

First of all, it’s the turn of the 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. This while the rollout was only planned for the month of February. So users don’t have to wait that long, it becomes clear. It is unclear why Samsung has previously stated that the update will not be released until February, but this is of course always nice news.

The update to Android 11 is not the only improvement. In this article you will find all the new functions from Android 11. Samsung also gives the Galaxy S20 FE the One UI 3.0 interface. This is the latest skin from the manufacturer. This includes several new features such as an improved notification panel, the revamped Device Manager application with improved power saving mode and several other tweaks. Samsung has been working on more consistent icons, improvements for the lock screen and dynamic lock screen, organizing tabs in the Samsung Internet app, various improvements for the camera, and optimizations in the privacy settings.

Rollout update

From now on, the update will be rolled out in the Netherlands. You will be notified if it is available for your smartphone. However, you can also manually check if the update is available by going to the settings on your device. It is not yet clear when the 4G version will get the update. Once it does, we will update this article with this information.
