UMIDIGI has introduced ultra cheap phones with a thermometer. Just adjust their forehead

In the coronavirus period, very interesting solutions are emerging not only in the field of software. The Chinese company UMIDIGI has launched three new phones, the most interesting feature of which is the ability to measure temperature. And by that we don’t just mean the temperature of the surrounding air, but a value measured, for example, from a person’s forehead. According to UMIDIGI, it is reacting to the current situation and has therefore decided to produce the very first phones with a thermometer in the fight against Covid-19.

If we look away from the module with an infrared meter (you can see the functionality in the video), it is generally not a bad phone. Even in our tips, they actually appear quite regularly. In this case, the company stated models A9, A9 Pro and A7S. You can see the specifications of individual models in the gallery. The most equipped variant of the A9 Pro with 6 GB RAM / 128 GB memory costs CZK 3,300, in combination with 4/64 GB CZK 2,850. They go to order on AliExpress.

The slightly worse equipped A9 model offers a 3/64 GB memory combination and costs CZK 2,400. The cheapest UMIDIGI model among the mentioned phones with a thermometer is the A7S with a price of CZK 1,650. It has 2/32 GB of memory. In the future, the company is going to launch a model on the market A9 MAX, which will have eight-gig RAM. The state should have up to CZK 4,300.
