Two robot-dogs play football with the robot-cat from the movie Buzz Lightyear in goal! (video)
Robotics engineers are not lacking in humor: Petoia Chinese startup specializing in the creation of small robot-dogs or robot-cats programmable and open-sourcereleased a video showing two of their robot dogs bittle playing football. Against a background of catchy music, the two mutts-robots try to monopolize the ball and score as many goals as possible knowing that the cages are guarded by another robot which is none other than the cat Sox from the animated film Buzz Lightyear! In fact the cat is a “simple” electronic toy mounted on a real robotic unit equipped with 4 wheels, a high definition camera and a central unit.
Unsurprisingly, the robot-dogs often lack organization, but we sometimes notice a few “lightning bursts” with “shots” sometimes surprisingly framed. As for the poor Sox, he often seems totally alien to what is happening on the field, but after all, this video is there to snatch a few smiles from us in the middle of a scorching summer.
Note that the little robot dog Bittle can be ordered on the GoTronic website at the price of 380 euros. Those who are more interested in the Sox toy can order it on Amazon at the price of 74 euros.
