Tour de France 2021 by Škoda application: (don’t) watch what’s happening live

The world of sports is currently moving the most famous cycling race Tour de France, whose main partner is again ŠKODA AUTO. It is ready for fans of the competition official application of the Tour de France 2021 by Škoda, where it is possible to find detailed information, including current events on the track. However, the question is how successful the application was.

Tour de France 2021 by Škoda: did it work or not?

Application Tour de France 2021 immediately after launching in the Czech Republic, it simply did not work. The start screen already showed the date of the race from 2021 to 2023, which is of course nonsense. On the individual tabs, those who installed the app found it black screen only.

Negative reviews were just pouring in. Fortunately for them, the application developer responded and promised redress. It really came after a few days, you can judge its quality for yourself. Tour de France 2021 by Škoda is available in Czech, but it has a catch.

On the introductory screen we get an overview of the current stage. We will find here significant moments, quotes as well as pictures and videos from the stage. In the next part, we will find out who got the yellow, green, polka dot and white jersey. There is also information about the starting and destination destinations of the stage.

The next tab has the all-encompassing name: “Location table“. Here, of course, it is possible to read the order of all participants in the individual stages, or the names of the competitors who withdrew from the race.

The most interesting item in the application should be the section “Live“. However, disappointment awaits anyone who would expect live online video. Users of the application will see especially textual information, sometimes interspersed with photographs or videos.

In department “Teams“We can learn a lot about the members of the individual teams, how they are doing in the Tour de France and also what successes have been credited to their accounts in recent years. If you have a favorite team, you can even search for it in the list.

Among other things, the application also refers to a competition whose main theme is, of course, cycling. It is possible to win, for example helicopter flight over the peloton, green jersey with the signatures of the best riders or the GARMIN cycling computer. Just answer a few questions. However, if you manage to click through to the quiz, you will have an unpleasant surprise – the questions are in English or French.

Although the Tour de France 2021 by Škoda application is in Czech, the vast majority of the content remains in English or French. So, despite the fact that the developers solved the original problems, there was another, no less serious one. However, it should be noted that on Google Play, apka won sixth place in the Sports category.
